Honey straight from Hafslund Park

Every late summer, the bees from Lande Honning move into the linden tree avenue at Hafslund and create a unique, local honey – harvested right outside the Main House. It is served as part of our “Østfold Breakfast” and gives guests a taste of the nature and atmosphere at Hafslund.

Every late summer, Hafslund Park is filled with buzzing life when our good friend and former colleague Dan Karlsen Wang, the founder of Lande Honning, places his beehives in the estate’s linden avenue. Throughout the summer, the bees work diligently among the flowers and trees in the park, and the result is a completely unique honey—harvested right outside the Main House.

This honey is not just a product, but a taste experience that connects guests more closely to the place. When you sit down for breakfast at Hafslund Manor, you can taste the nature around you – literally. The honey is served as part of our “Østfold Breakfast”, a concept developed in collaboration with Guldkorn Østfold, where locally sourced ingredients and local producers are central.

It hardly gets more local than this. From flowers in the park, through the bees’ work, to the breakfast table—the journey is short, but the flavor is rich.

For us, the collaboration with Lande Honning is a great example of how we want to highlight local producers, while giving guests an experience rooted in the place they’re visiting. When you take a spoonful of honey over your yogurt or roll, you’re not just tasting the sweetness—you’re also tasting Hafslund Park’s season, atmosphere, and character.
