Statistics (options)
Statistics cookies help Hafslund understand how visitors communicate with websites by collecting and reporting information anonymously to us at Hafslund. As an important part of efforts to create an easy-to-use website, we look at the user pattern of those who visit the website. To analyse the information, we use the Google Analytics tool. Statistics cookies are completely optional to use and you as a visitor must actively turn these on as they are not activated by default.
Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files that the website stores on the user’s computer), which register users’ IP addresses (an IP address is considered personal data because it can be traced back to a specific hardware), and which provide information about the individual user’s online movements. Examples of what the statistics inform us of include;
- how many people visit different pages
- how long the visit lasts
- which websites users come from and which browsers are used.
The information collected by Google Analytics is stored on Google’s servers in the USA. The transfer of personal data takes place based on a framework for the transfer of personal data between the EU and the United States: Participant Detail (dataprivacyframework.gov)
