Culinary experiences

Good dining experiences framed by unique and inspiring surroundings go hand in glove with us. Our eminent chefs offer various tasty menus in Kornmagasinet, Storsalen and Riddersalen respectively. Welcome and bon appétit!

The Granary

The Granary is located in the courtyard. The pleasant red food storehouse was the farm’s original granary and when the floor is scrubbed, the remaining grains hiding between the wooden boards may still sprout.

The chefs prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner in the modern kitchen in the food storehouse. Guests can sit at long tables or group tables spread over two floors. Planked timber walls and charming details make the atmosphere in The Granary rustic and intimate. Here, the ceiling is low and the atmosphere is informal and cozy.

Events in the Great Hall

The Great Hall, with capacity for 150 guests, is the heart of our modern course and conference centre, which was completely remodelled in the old barn building in 2007. The Great Hall has new technical equipment and is mainly used for conferences during the day. On some occasions, it is possible to set up the Great Hall for dinner events. In addition to the Great Hall, there are smaller meeting and group rooms.

The airy hall has good ceiling height and a spacious mezzanine. The mezzanine is furnished with a bar and sofa groups for mingling and retreating during breaks and in the evening.

The Knights Hall in the Main House

The grand and unique Knights Hall in the Main House can be made available for special occasions. The venerable hall is a piece of cultural heritage closely linked to Hafslund Manor’s long history.

In The Knights Hall, long tables can be set for up to 100 guests, and with crystal, silver candelabra and white damask, the atmosphere becomes very festive.

Coffee cocktails can be enjoyed in one of the soulful living rooms or in the originally furnished library, which was designed in the 1930s by the famous architect Arnstein Arneberg. After dinner, guests are welcome to retire to the wine cellar and end the evening with cheese, wine and good conversation.
